IDES OF MAY, May 14-15, 2011 at 3pm and 7:30pm

The BareFoot Collective Presents Ides of May: A Contemporary Dance Concert Featuring Professional, Local Dance Artists and Student Dancers from Gig Harbor High School.

Ides of May showcases new choreography by BQdanza director, Carla Baragan and tBFC choreographers Michael Hoover and Katie Stricker, as well as original choreography by students at Gig Harbor High School who have been participating in a two-month BareFoot outreach project. These young dancers will be presenting their work alongside professional artists in Ides Of May.

Ides of May is supported by Spaceworks Tacoma and will be presented at 915 Tacoma Ave.

Seating is limited so advance purchase of tickets is recommended.  Tickets are available in advance at www.brownpapertickets.com or at the door.

 

MOBILIZE, April 23-24, 2010 at 8 pm

The BareFoot Collective is proud to announce Mobilize, an evening of concert dance by Co-Directors Carrie Goodnight and Amanda Herman and special guests Ellie Klopp and Nicole Sasala from the Asterisk Project. The evening also features musicians Erica Coutsouridis and Meredith Connie and the work of Eugene, OR composer Christian Cherry.

8@8 --Monday, May 24 at 8 pm

Need to get your art fix without busting your budget? Join the BareFoot Collective for 8@8 and see the newest, freshest work in a variety of disciplines for ONLY $5.

Open to all art forms, 8@8 is a platform for artists of any discipline to try out their work in an informal setting. Each artist gets a maximum of 8 minutes to show new material. This is an excellent opportunity to see what artists are doing in the Seattle-Tacoma area. After the show there is an opportunity to give and exchange constructive feedback to the participants.

BareFoot Brunch

BareFoot Brunch is open to all who like to celebrate community through dance. Start with a $5
masterclass followed by a delicious potluck brunch. Feel free to bring a dish to share!
